Registry Participation Makes it Easier for Reimbursement Authorization

Blue Shield of California is the First Insurer to Offer this Benefit

Rosemont, Ill. – November 11, 2016 – The American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR) is pleased to announce that effective the first quarter of 2017, it is expected that Blue Shield of California's providers that are participants in the Registry will automatically receive authorization for their patients' hip or knee replacement procedures.

AJRR Releases 2016 Annual Report on Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Data

Number of procedures more than double since last year's report

Rosemont, Ill. – November 11, 2016 – The American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR) releases its 2016 Annual Report on hip and knee arthroplasty data today at the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) 2016 Annual Meeting. With the number of procedures more than doubling since the last report, the AJRR has published the most comprehensive representation of data from an American orthopaedic Registry to date. This is the third annual report that AJRR has released.

AJRR Reaches a Half Million Procedures

The National Registry continues to grow to help physicians improve patient outcomes

Rosemont, Ill. – August 24, 2016 – The American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR), a multi-stakeholder, not-for-profit organization that optimizes patient outcomes through the collection of data on primary and revision hip and knee replacement procedures throughout the US now houses over 500,000 procedures within its system. This milestone brings the AJRR closer to its goal of collecting 90% of all hip and knee replacement procedures performed in America.

The Alliance cooperative offers surgeons and hospitals QualityPath designation if they satisfy Registry participation

Rosemont, Ill. – August 11, 2016 – The American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR), a multi-stakeholder, not-for-profit organization that optimizes patient outcomes through the collection of data on primary and revision hip and knee replacement procedures throughout the US is part of a list of criteria for QualityPath designation. To receive this esteemed designation for knee and total hip replacement from The Alliance, hospitals and surgeons are required to be AJRR participants.
